For A: Sky Blue
For B: Scrappy Light Browns
For C: Yellow
- Cut one 5 7/8” square of (A).
- Cut two 5 7/8” squares of (B).
- Cut one 5 7/8” square of (C).
- Combine (A)/(B) squares into half-square triangles. Join in a row with (B) at center seam and (A) at top cor- ners.
- Combine (B)/(C) squares into half-square triangles. Join in a row with (C) at center seam and (B) at top cor- ners.
- Join two rows, as shown.
- Winner can join blocks to create zigzags with (B).
- Cut squares from the two chosen fabrics that are 7/8" larger than the finished size of the units.
- Place right sides together with the lighter square on top. Draw a diagonal line on the lighter fabric from one corner to the opposite corner. Stitch ¼” on each side of the marked line.
- Cut the triangles apart on the center line and press open. There will be 2 half square triangles that should measure finished size plus ½”.
